INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY 


1. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights relating to Detective Guru Academy™, including its educational content, brand assets and proprietary learning materials, are owned by or licensed to Secret Watch Detectives Private Limited unless expressly stated otherwise.

All such rights are protected under applicable copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws.


1.1 Ownership

Unless otherwise specified, the following are the exclusive intellectual property of Detective Guru Academy™ and/or Secret Watch Detectives Private Limited:

  2. Online Courses
  3. Workshops
  4. Webinars
  5. Consultations
  6. Certification Materials
  7. Articles
  8. Blogs
  9. Videos
  10. Audio Recordings
  11. Podcasts
  12. Presentations
  13. PDFs
  14. Worksheets
  15. Assessments
  16. Question Banks
  17. Study Materials
  18. Learning Resources
  19. Website Content
  20. Software, where applicable
  21. Logos
  22. Brand Names
  23. Trademarks
  24. Graphics
  25. Photographs
  26. Designs
  27. Icons
  28. Documents
  29. Educational Frameworks
  30. Training Methodologies
  31. Any other original content created by the Academy.


1.2 Permitted Personal Use

Learners are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Academy Content solely for their own personal educational purposes.

No ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred to the learner.


1.3 Prohibited Activities

Without prior written permission from Detective Guru Academy™, users shall not:

    1. Copy or reproduce Academy Content.
    2. Record Course Videos or Webinars.
    3. Upload Academy Content to websites or social media.
    4. Redistribute Course Materials.
    5. Translate Academy Content for commercial purposes.
    6. Modify or adapt Academy Content.
    7. Create derivative works based on Academy materials.
    8. Sell, licence or commercially exploit any Academy Content.
    9. Share paid educational material with third parties.
    10. Remove copyright notices, trademarks or branding.

  • 1.4 Brand Protection

The names Detective Guru®, Detective Guru Academy™, Course titles, program names, logos, taglines and other brand identifiers are valuable intellectual property.

Unauthorised use of these names, logos or branding in a manner likely to cause confusion, misrepresentation or commercial advantage is strictly prohibited.


1.5 Copyright Protection

All original educational content published by Detective Guru Academy™ is protected by copyright from the date of creation, regardless of whether formal registration has been obtained.

Users shall respect all copyright notices displayed on Academy materials.


1.6 User-Generated Content

Where learners submit assignments, testimonials, feedback, reviews or other content to the Academy, they confirm that they own the necessary rights to submit such material.

Unless otherwise agreed, the learner retains ownership of their original content, while granting Detective Guru Academy™ a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such content for educational, administrative, promotional or quality improvement purposes, subject to applicable privacy laws.


1.7 Reporting Infringement

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed by content appearing on the Platform, you may notify Detective Guru Academy™ through the official contact details provided on the Platform.

The Academy will review genuine complaints in accordance with applicable law.


1.8 Enforcement

Detective Guru Academy™ reserves the right to investigate suspected intellectual property violations and to take appropriate legal, civil or administrative action where necessary.

Such action may include:

  1. Removal of infringing content.
  2. Suspension or termination of Platform access.
  3. Revocation of Course access or Certification.

Any future Learning Solutions, technologies, educational resources, AI-assisted learning materials, digital products, software, publications or innovations developed by Detective Guru Academy™ shall automatically be protected under this Intellectual Property Policy unless expressly stated otherwise.


2. Acceptable Use Policy

Detective Guru Academy™ is committed to providing a safe, lawful, ethical and professional learning environment for all learners, visitors and community members.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to use all Learning Solutions responsibly and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws.


2.1 Lawful Use

The Platform and all Learning Solutions shall be used only for lawful, educational and ethical purposes.

Users shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations and legal obligations while accessing or using the Platform.


2.2 Prohibited Activities

Users shall not use the Platform to:

  1. Engage in any unlawful activity.
  2. Violate the privacy or rights of any individual.
  3. Harass, threaten or abuse any person.
  4. Publish defamatory, offensive, discriminatory or hateful content.
  5. Promote violence, illegal activities or criminal behaviour.

2.3 Responsible Educational Use

Users shall apply the knowledge gained responsibly, ethically and in accordance with applicable laws.

Detective Guru Academy™ does not encourage or authorise the misuse of any educational content.


2.4 Investigation Education

Courses and educational materials relating to Investigation, Verification, Observation and related subjects are intended exclusively for lawful and ethical learning.

Users shall not use Academy Content to:

  1. Conduct unlawful surveillance.
  2. Hack or gain unauthorised access to computer systems.
  3. Intercept communications illegally.
  4. Violate the privacy of any individual.
  5. Commit fraud or deception.
  6. Assist criminal or unlawful activities.
  7. Misuse investigative knowledge for personal revenge, intimidation or harassment.


2.5 Respect for Others

Users are expected to maintain respectful and professional behaviour at all times.

Discrimination, harassment, bullying, abusive language, intimidation or behaviour that disrupts the learning environment shall not be tolerated.


2.6 Platform Security

Users shall not:

  1. Attempt to bypass Platform security.
  2. Reverse engineer Platform software.
  3. Use automated bots or scripts to access restricted content.
  4. Attempt to disrupt Platform functionality.
  5. Interfere with servers, databases or technical infrastructure.


2.7 Intellectual Property Compliance

Users shall respect all copyright, trademark and intellectual property rights relating to Academy Content.

Any unauthorised copying, recording, distribution or commercial use of Academy materials is strictly prohibited.


2.8 Community Standards

Where users participate in DG Connect™, Courses, Webinars, Workshops or other community activities, they are expected to:

  1. Communicate respectfully.
  2. Respect confidentiality.
  3. Avoid spam or unsolicited promotion.
  4. Encourage constructive discussion.
  5. Support a positive learning environment.


2.9 Consequences of Misuse

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in one or more of the following actions:

  1. Warning issued by the Academy.
  2. Temporary suspension of Platform access.
  3. Permanent termination of the user account.
  4. Cancellation of Course access.
  5. Revocation of Certification.
  6. Removal from DG Connect™.
  7. Legal action where appropriate.


2.10 Reporting Misuse

Users who become aware of misuse of the Platform, copyright infringement, security concerns or unlawful activities are encouraged to notify Detective Guru Academy™ through the official communication channels.

The Academy will review genuine reports and take appropriate action where necessary.


2.11 Right to Enforce

Detective Guru Academy™ reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Policy and to take any action it considers necessary to protect its learners, community, intellectual property, Platform and reputation.

Such action may include suspension, termination, legal proceedings or any other remedy available under applicable law.


2.12 Future Platform Services

This Acceptable Use Policy shall also apply to any future Learning Solutions, mobile applications, AI-powered services, digital platforms, community features or educational technologies introduced by Detective Guru Academy™, unless separate terms are expressly published.
